SUNSHINE KIDS PROVIDES YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMMING, FREE OF CHARGE, FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES.

The Sunshine Kids Foundation adds quality of life to children with cancer by providing them with exciting, positive group activities and opportunities, so they may once again do what kids are meant to do...have fun and celebrate life!

NATIONAL TRIPS

National trips are week-long trips provided throughout the year for teenage cancer patients from hospitals across the United States and Canada.

National trips are hosted in exciting destinations throughout the United States where teenage cancer patients have the opportunity to participate in once-in-a-lifetime opportunities while meeting other kids, their same age, also battling a childhood cancer diagnosis. Sunshine Kids are chaperoned by medical volunteers from participating hospitals and Foundation staff.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Local activities are provided across the United States for Sunshine Kids of all ages and their families and include a variety of exciting opportunities. Activities range from weekend teen getaways to celebrity meet and greets, art programs, holiday parties, professional sports events and so much more! The focus is on allowing kids to just be kids while giving families the opportunity to meet other families who are battling a childhood cancer diagnosis just like they are.

IN-HOSPITAL PROGRAMS

Our in-hospital programs bring sunshine and smiles to children with cancer inside the hospital environment to help brighten the day and provide a positive distraction for patients and families experiencing lengthy hospital stays or clinic visits.

AND THAT’S NOT ALL…

Sunshine Kids also supports our patients, their families and hospital partners through the following programs:

Back to School Program – assisting families in need of a little extra help to start the school year and supporting in-hospital school programs

Birthday Program – celebrating each and every one of our courageous young cancer fighters on their birthday

Holiday Gift Program – assisting families in need of a little extra help during the holiday season

Senior Send Off Program – preparing our graduating seniors for the next chapter

Sunshine Surprises Program – sharing special surprises to bring sunshine to our families when they are in-patient, celebrating the end of treatment or in need of a sunshine pick me up
