National trips are week-long trips provided throughout the year for teenage cancer patients from hospitals across the United States and Canada. National trips are hosted in exciting destinations throughout the United States where teenage cancer patients have the opportunity to participate in once-in-a-lifetime opportunities while meeting other kids, their same age, also battling a childhood cancer diagnosis. Sunshine Kids are chaperoned by medical volunteers from participating hospitals and Foundation staff.
ACTIVITIES CALENDAR
Since 1982, the Foundation has provided a variety of local, regional and national events involving thousands of young cancer patients from hospitals across North America. All activities, transportation, lodging and food are provided free of charge to the children and attending medical staff.
